It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.

India Ink – Watercolor – Yupo Paper

The process of creating these paintings is like a meditation on color, shape, and movement. I begin by applying India inks to the paper. It’s magical how the ink flows to produce organic shapes and translucent layers of color.

Once dry, I use watercolor to create geometric shapes, some defined and some very loose. Watercolor allows me to add and subtract pigments to either hide or highlight specific elements. I repeat this process until I’m happy with the composition.

All paintings below are shipped in white mat board for framing to your taste. I love them in both a black or white contemporary frame.
